Personal Update:

I would like to offer a huge, and sincere, 'thank you'

to all those who have faithfully kept in touch, offered support, generally helped out & made me smile through emails and social network sites throughout the truly horrendous period since our house fire and floods late in 2010.

The dogs are now back with Gavin and I and the house finally feels like a home again.

The house has still not been fully repaired so the 'discussions' with my insurance company continue on & the ombudsman is only a whisker away I think.

Could I also venture some advice to all fellow setter owners out there........please double check your insurance policy and ensure that you are covered for accommodation costs for your dogs should they they have to go into boarding kennels.  Just because they are not listed specifically as exclusions on the policy documents does not mean that they are implicitly included, as I have learnt to my cost.  Benefit from my experience and double check with your insurers......and get that re-assurance in writing as there is no audit trail from a phone call.

Now the red gang are home and things are not so emotionally fraught I hope to get out to some shows and look forward to seeing everyone round the ringside again."
