Special Awards Classes
Judge: Miss Chloe Green (Glencarron)

I firstly would like to extend a big thank you to the NEEISC committee for inviting me to judge at their lovely show. To judge the first Special Memorial Classes in memory of Brian McAvoy was an honour. There was a lovely atmosphere at the show and I enjoyed my day very much. Thank you also to all of the exhibitors for entering and supporting these special classes, I had so many lovely dogs to judge which made the day even better.

Brian McAvoy Memorial Special Yearling
1st Robinson’s LANSTARA RED DRESS. 19 months old, and both bitches in this class were litter sisters. Both quality bitches who I am sure switch places regularly. This little girl had a very feminine and soft expression, nice oval skull, decent stop and raised brows. Well bodied with good spring of rib. Nicely balanced and elegant in outline. Nicely angled quarters. More settled on the move today which gave her the advantage over her sister.
2nd Blackshaw’s LANSTARA RUBY SLIPPERS. Another lovely girl, nicely raised brow and low set of ear. Not as feminine in expression as her sister, but she has a better layback of shoulder. Lovely deep chest and balanced outline. Rich coat in great condition. Not as settled on the move today.

Brian McAvoy Memorial Special Open
A lovely class, which made for some tricky decisions.
1st Stevenson’s LOCHLORIAN TRUE DETECTIVE IS ANDLEY. Lovely 4 year old bitch. My first thought for this girl was that she is so balanced! A lovely layback of shoulder with great return of upper arm, which is complemented by her super bend of stifle and well-muscled quarters. Lovely depth and width to chest and nice strong loin. Lovely raised brow and feminine expression, well muscled neck and lovely topline. In great coat and condition. Moved a delight.
2nd Hinslea’s GWENDARIFF GUESS WHO’S COMIN TO NORTHAMBER (JW). Loved the head and expression on this girl, her eyes made me melt! Lovely oval skull and low set ears. Nicely arched neck set neatly into shoulders and flowed into a smooth and gently sloping topline. Good depth to chest and well bodied. Lovely angulation at her quarters. Neat feet in lovely coat and condition. Moved well.
3rd Parsons & Parsons’ BRAIDMOUNT LADY OF THE LAKE AT BRANSETT.
