Critique - Bitches - Judge -Judi Frampton

A beautifully run show, great atmosphere and, I believe, sporting exhibitors.

I thank the officers and committee for the invitation to judge, it was an enormous privilege.

My two stewards, Teresa and Tania were first class and helped the day run smoothly.

My entry was really excellent with some truly lovely bitches to assess, and in making final choices with my co judge, Mrs Phyllis Pollard, we were in total agreement, giving SH. CH Copper’s War of Roses B.I.S. over the beautiful SH. CH. Aoibheanne’s Say No More JW., purely on his male showmanship, two great ambassadors of the breed.

MPB (5,1 abs)

1. Naylor & Morrison’s Anlory Doris. Racy pup of 6 months, like her pretty head and eye. Well constructed with a good rib and strong rear. She moves out happily.

2. Rorke’s Zakhan’s Demelza. This 8 month baby shows much confidence. Well shaped dark eye, sweet expression. Stands on strong limbs, very deep in brisket. Moves with such precision from strong rear quarters.

3. Coleman’s Devacott Rose Creek.

PB (9, 1 abs).

1. Hall’s Glennara Cilleigne Dervla (IKc). Pretty dark coated pup of good type. She has a well shaped head and eye, good forehand, with correct oval boned limbs. She moves so steadily, lashing tail, appears to really enjoy the show scene. B.P.B.

2. Naylor & Morrison’s Anlory Doris.

3. Rorke’s Zakhan’s Demelza.

JB (12, 1 abs)

1. Muire’s Romarne April Showers. This girl has so much that appeals, she is strongly made, lovely head with raised brow, showing temperament, has depth, plenty of heart room, correct front, well developed quarters, and she can cover the ground with ease.

2. Ostman’s Copper’s Mandelblom. Beautifully refined head piece on this girl with neatest of ear sets too. Clean over neck and shoulder, just flows. Well ribbed up, strong rear and set on of tail, scopy girl who can certainly move with style and strength.

3. Bell & Barker Bell’s Balintyne Nora Jones.

YB (18, 3 abs)

1. Chorley-Newton & Chorley & Flinders Pawsword Peppermint For Kerryfair.

Her head is quite exquisite, lots of work, raised brow and the most beautiful; dark well shaped eye, a head that melts your heart! She is a lovely rugged sort, yet so feminine, so well put together, never exaggerated in any way, and a great little mover, in tune with her young handler.

2. Kolbach’s Pawsword Potpourri. Litter sister to first, and so similar in many ways, smaller in franme, sweet head, quizzical eye. Well off for bone, decent feet, strong and well muscled quarters, in lovely bloom. She shows character, is a good mover, lovely girl.

3. Lucas’s Pawsword Play With Fire Joins Amberlight.

Sp BB (5)

1. Corless’s Swiftlark First Lady. Pretty head on this dark coated young bitch. She has sufficient bone and substance, but needs to settle down, particularly on the move as she is rather erratic and quite hard to assess.

2. Coleman’s Devacott Jingles Belle. Heavier girl, a little too much in head for me, but with lush dark coat.

3. Dow’s Shenanagin Stolen Kiss.

MB (6 1 abs)

1. Hall’s Glennara Cilleigne Dervla (IKc).

2. Bell & Barker Bell’s Balintyne Nora Jones. Feminine girl with long silky ears! She is well constructed, well angled both ends giving balance and she can move on a good stride.

3. Humphrey’s Crimpington Flirtini to Heneleas.

NB (9)

1. Tully’s Gwendariiff Lily The Pink. Lots to like about this young bitch, pretty head with quizzical eye, like the length and depth of her body, good limbs and front. Strong and stylish mover, surprised she is in Novice.

2. Hall’s Glennara Cilleigne Dervla (IKc).

3. Bell & Barker Bell’s Balintyne Nora Jones.

UGB (7 1abs)

1. Hall’s Riverbrue Ophelia At Glennara. Lovely type and ideal size bitch. Lean skull, and most attractive head and expression. Like her frame, her forehand and well sprung rib. Beautifully presented and conditioned, happy sound mover.

2. Bell & Barker Bell’s Balintyne Nora Jones.

3.      Humphrey’s Crimpington Flirtini to Heneleas.

GB (7 1 abs)

1. Hunter & Brown’s Braidmount Lady in Waiting JW. Handsome young bitch, stylish and scopy. Attractive head, with dark eye. Well made all through, raking quarters, enabling her to power round the ring.

2. Bott’s Bardonhill Ice Ice Icicle. This bitch has such a pretty headpiece, so, so feminine, and with neat well folded ears. She is so much of what I love in an Irish, really well made fore and aft, with length of rib, and short strong loin. Do hope she will gain more confidence on the move and am sure then, she will trouble the best.

3. Waterton’s Sandstream Summer Breeze JW.

PGB (12 1 abs)

1. Mugford’s Sangarah Skyline Over Lynwood (Imp Hun) JW. Lovely balanced bitch, not overtall, prettiest of heads, lean skull, love the dark, well shaped eye. She stands on good feet, is well boned, deep through, well let down, correct croup, and set on of tail, strong generous quarters enabling powerful movement whilst holding her topline.

2. Wilson’s Copper’s Snowqueen (Imp Swe). Similar to first, sweet headed bitch, love the eye shape and colour. She is clean in muzzle and throat, has excellent bone and the best of feet. Great rib, in tip top condition, plus she is collected on the move.

3. Blackshaw’s Lanstara Spring Star.

Minor LB (5)

1. Waterton’s Sandstream Welcome Breeze JW. Pretty head with lovely expression on this girl, with her neatly folded leathers, the glint in her eye. She is strong in neck of correct length, fitting cleanly into shoulders, gently sloping topline, such balance in her and with powerful quarters, just the right amount of weight and in best coat and condition, moves out with animation and style.

2. Naylor & Morrison’s Anlory Corbieres. Such an honest bitch, attractive head, dark eye, best of ear sets, clean finish to muzzle and throat, correct front so balanced, well developed rib with deep brisket, rugged and muscled. Enabling her to move with propulsion.

3. Bell & Barker Bell’s Balintyne Say You Say Me

Mid LB (3)

Glorious girl, out of the top drawer, oozes breed type has many qualities such balance and body strength, that rugged beauty that effortless stride all set off with beautiful lean skull, a fine dark eye and melting expression and her lush dark coat. Turned out to perfection, delighted to give her the C.C. and RBIS, beaten only by the handsome dog with a certain male panache, that he has in spades.

2. Crocker, Ostman & Siddle’s Copper’s Roses All Over. Where has this stunningly pretty girl been hiding! She certainly caught my eye, such a lovely type, so much character, and another beautiful headpiece, with that mischievous eye. Great body properties, strong rear, best of croups and tailset and lovely free flowing movement. R.C.C.

3. Bott Allen & Morgan’s SH. CH. Bardonhill Please Don’t Tease Quensha JW.

VB (6 2abs)

1. Kolbach’s CH. Copper’s Wine’n Roses (Imp Swe). This bitch epitomises what she was bred to do. At seven and a half years, she is in tremendously fit condition, is of lovely style, fine feminine head.   Wonderful to assess, to have hands on, to feel that

depth of chest, the muscletone, the width of thigh, her powerhouse, to see her moving with great reach and drive, so lovely. BVIS.
